Jakarta, Indonesia — The opportunity to join an international gathering of Muslim youth returns through the Middle East Youth Summit (MEYS) 2027. Entering its seventh edition, the program organized by Youth Break the Boundaries (YBB) will take place in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, from March 22–25, 2027.
Following six previous editions, MEYS continues to bring together Muslim youth from different countries and backgrounds under the spirit of “Together for Ummah.” This year, MEYS carries the theme “Empowering Emerging Leader for Positive Change within the Islamic Brotherhood,” encouraging young people to take an active role in creating positive change within their communities.
Connecting Muslim Youth Across Borders
Middle East Youth Summit is an international program dedicated to developing Muslim youth leadership. It provides a space for participants to connect with young people from different cultures while learning through collaborative experiences.
One of the key components of the program is the International Symposium and Social Project Muslim Community Development. Participants will work in multicultural teams to design social projects based on one of the selected Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The four available focus areas are:
SDG 4 – Quality Education
SDG 5 – Gender Equality
SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities
SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals
Each team will consist of 5–7 participants who will discuss and develop a project to be presented during the MEYS program. Through this process, participants will strengthen essential skills in leadership, communication, cross-cultural collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Entering Its Seventh Edition
As MEYS enters its seventh edition in 2027, the program continues to provide an international platform for young Muslim leaders to develop their potential and engage with community challenges.
The program encourages participants to move beyond exchanging ideas by developing solutions that can create meaningful and sustainable impact. Through this approach, MEYS seeks to nurture young leaders who can bring the values of collaboration from their local communities to the global level.
