KJRI Jeddah Strengthens MEYS 2025 Through the Presence of Joneri Alimin

Mecca, Saudi Arabia — The Middle East Youth Summit (MEYS) 2025, organized by the Youth Break the Boundaries (YBB) Foundation, successfully concluded on December 1–4, 2025, at Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Al Naseem. The summit brought together young Muslim leaders from across the globe to strengthen Islamic leadership values and foster cross-border collaboration.

One of the highlights of MEYS 2025 was the support shown by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Jeddah through the presence of Joneri Alimin, an Indonesian career diplomat who currently serves as Economic Consul at KJRI Jeddah.

Diplomatic Support for Youth Leadership Development

Joneri Alimin’s participation reflected Indonesia’s strong commitment to youth empowerment within global Muslim platforms. With over a decade of experience in economic diplomacy, international relations, and policy development, he brought practical insights into how diplomacy plays a vital role in shaping future leaders.

His presence added a diplomatic perspective to the summit, emphasizing that leadership is closely connected to economic cooperation, global engagement, and mutual understanding between nations.

Joneri Alimin’s Role in Strengthening Economic Collaboration

As Economic Consul at KJRI Jeddah, Joneri Alimin actively promotes Indonesia’s trade, investment, and economic potential in Saudi Arabia. He also works to strengthen strategic partnerships between Indonesian and Saudi stakeholders across various sectors.

During MEYS 2025, his engagement highlighted the importance of economic literacy, cross-cultural collaboration, and international cooperation for Muslim youth who aspire to contribute meaningfully at the global level.

Indonesia’s Active Contribution to Global Muslim Initiatives

Through Joneri Alimin’s representation, MEYS 2025 gained a stronger institutional and diplomatic dimension. His participation demonstrated how government institutions can support youth-led movements by sharing experience, vision, and real-world perspectives.

This support also reaffirmed Indonesia’s active role in global Muslim initiatives, inspiring participants to explore careers and contributions in diplomacy, economics, and international development.
